OTTAWA – A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected across north central Illinois Thursday. The National Weather Service in Chicago is predicting a band of snow and rain will move across the state, creating a mess for travelers. Starting early Thursday morning through Thursday night, areas north of I-88 could see up to 4″ of snow, while those areas south of I-80 may only see rain and freezing rain. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued beginning at 3 AM tomorrow.
