STREATOR – Streator issued Solicitor permits to Caliber Communications for July 30th through August 8th and United World Power Marketing for August 5th through 9th. The Streator Police Department says these individuals are allowed to conduct their solicitations from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. These individuals will be soliciting lower rates for Dish Network Satellite and Price Protected Utility Rates but ARE NOT employees of Dish Network or any Utility Companies. Police say as consumers you are not required to show any of your utility bills or allow them entry into your home. The solicitors are required to their wear company identification visible to consumers at all times. Each solicitor has been provided with a signed Peddler and Solicitor permit from the city and are required to show it to a consumer if requested.
