STREATOR – Potholes were a concern during Streator’s City Council meeting earlier this week. Residents expressed their worries over the 700 block of Iowa Avenue, a street they say is in sorry shape. The potholes in the area measuring up to 2 inches deep and 9 inches wide has apparently caused structural damage to their homes, making them shake every time a truck passes through. Residents are also asking for the 25 mph speed limit to be enforced in the area. City Engineer Jeremy Palm says his crew will take a look at the problem.
