OTTAWA – Ottawa Police say that DNA evidence led them to charge an Ottawa man in connection with a burglary that occurred over a year ago. Police say that on January 31st, 2017, they were called to a reported residential burglary in the 600 block of West Madison Street. Authorities say someone forced an entry and took various electronics.
Police say results from DNA evidence submitted to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab led them to obtain an arrest warrant last week and charge 37-year-old Adam A. Waterworth with one count of residential burglary.
Waterworth was arrested and taken to the LaSalle County Jail with bond set at $30,000 or $3,000 cash.
