STREATOR – A student organized gathering on the campus of Streator High School Friday morning was held in part to honor the anniversary of the Columbine shooting nineteen years ago. Superintendent Matt Seaton said the student organizers had been working with administration for about a week to make sure it was appropriate and handled respectfully. Holding signs and giving speeches, many students took part in the thirty minute event held in the courtyard of the high school.
