STREATOR – A new bridge for Spring Lake Park in Streator was proposed in a Parks and Open Spaces meeting, Wednesday. Nora Sedlock of Three Trees presented concept designs for the Spring Lake Park bridge. City Engineer Jeremy Palm told the committee that in the coming years the bridge will need maintenance work. Sedlock says her family would be willing to donate the labor and have access to the materials needed to build the bridge. Details include stained concrete, walls on each end and railing work. Palm says the concept needs more planning, but it’s something for the committee to consider.
